Having toured with Coldplay and U2 and jammed with musical heroes David Gilmour and Johnny Marr, married musical duo Amadou & Mariam have wowed and won fans around the world.  They’ve performed at a Nobel Peace Prize concert in honour of Barack Obama as well as played at the last two FIFA world cups.  They’re renowned for their exquisite song craft, Amadou’s thrilling blues guitar and the magical interplay of their voices. 

Adding to the captivating cocktail of show-stopping music on Saturday night, newly booked Caravan Palace will be entertaining audiences with their energetic blend of French Electro Swing and Gypsy Jazz.  Their catchy tunes are guaranteed to get festival-goers dancing.  Joining an already impressive and diverse line-up of music including headliners Jools Holland (Wednesday 11^th July) and Levellers (Friday 13^th July), just booked artists are The Correspondents, Gabrielle Aplin, By The Rivers and Mother Ukers.  Jools Holland fans will also be pleased to hear his special guest vocalist is none other than former Fine Young Cannibals frontman Roland Gift. 

Joining comedy genius Tim Minchin, Larmer Tree Festival is thrilled to reveal Greg Davies will be headlining Thursday night’s Comedy Club in the ARC.  Perhaps best known as the psychotic Head of Sixth Form Mr Gilbert in Channel 4’s The Inbetweeners, Greg’s also appeared on numerous TV shows including being team captain on Ask Rhod Gilbert (BBC 1), hosting Never Mind the Buzzcocks and guest appearances on Mock The Week (BBC 2), Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave), Frank Skinner’s Opinionated (BBC 2), That Sunday Night Show (ITV1), and many more! Other comedians just confirmed to perform over the weekend are Carl Donnelly, Jimmy McGhie and Tom Craine. 

This family-focused festival, set in the lush Larmer Tree pleasure gardens on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, is not just about music and comedy.  It’s packed with a brilliant programme of over 150 free workshops, shows and activities and street theatre to amuse the whole family.  There’s a themed carnival, adult workshops, a YouthZone for 11-17 year olds, a kids area and let’s not forget that under fives go free.  Plus, families can also wander the winding paths of Lostwood and discover storytelling, poetry, and performances for all ages.  

Tickets include all entertainment, free parking and camping for tents, caravans and campervans so there are no additional costs.  A three day ticket costs £140 per adult but festival-goers can enjoy a four or five day weekend for only an extra £25 or £50 respectively.
