Fringe 2012 2nd Open Meeting
Online Event Listing process coming soon
Monday January 30th, 6pm, the Other Bar (formerly Love Lounge) at the back of The Bell, 103 Walcot Street, BATH BA1 5BW.
We’re having another Open Meeting for anyone who wants to put a show into Fringe 2012 but who didn’t make the first meeting.
If you came to the first one you don’t need to come to this, unless you want to; if you’re a Fringe Volunteer, you don’t need to come to this either, unless you want to: we’ll have a volunteer meeting later in the year when we know what things there are to volunteer for!
The online event listing process will be up around the end of this month to coincide with the meeting. If you’re already on our list proposing an event (if you came to our previous meeting, or if you’ve otherwise been talking to us), we’ll send you the details when it’s ready: if there’s something you want to do and you haven’t talked to us yet, and can’t come to the meeting, that’s all fine, EMail us on [email protected] and we’ll send you the details and any other information you might need when it’s ready. If you’re confused by all the instructions, or need to know something else, EMail us anyway.
If you’ve got a submission for the Visual Arts programme, this is the wrong meeting and the wrong EMail (sorry): look at www.fringeartsbath.co.uk
This is a good meeting to come to if you’ve got an idea that you’d like to develop: sometimes, for example, you can meet another group who are thinking of something that will work well together, and the combination is stronger and more likely to happen. Or we may be able to suggest useful directions for development. We don’t have money to support shows or acts, though: like all the major Fringes, it’s a do-it-yourself thing.
For musicians, young, developing and local bands and soloists, we’re hoping to have a separate announcement of a multi-act bill programme: sign onto the Fringe mailing list or just keep an eye on www.bathfringe.co.uk and you’ll hear all about it.
