Beardy Folk Festival opens its doors in the heart of beautiful Shropshire 22nd-24th June 2018. Centred around a secret 19th century walled garden within the grounds of the stunning Hopton Court, this new Midsummer weekend kid on block is certainly hitting the ground running with an excellent line-up covering most folk and roots variants. You can expect the likes of Nick Heyward, 3 Daft Monkeys, Skerryvore, Chris Helme, Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman, False Lights, and Granny's Attic appearing across the stages over the weekend.
The 30+ artists are not the half of it of course, with all the usual festival malarkey available to enjoy for all ages. There are some fine real ales and ciders on offer, plus a cocktail bar, and an artisan food court designed to cover all bases. (Buy a Hobsons Ales Beer Card for £20 and get SIX pints over the weekend … that’s a festival bargain in anyone’s books!) There will be Yoga, and woodland walks, and… well, you get the picture! Quality and variety appear to be the order of the day at Beardy. This should be a great family bash too, with free entry for under 13's and acts like Jitterbug Circus shows & workshops, Wyld Thyngz woodland activities, Suzanne and Jake Thomas - Stories and Music, Ronnie Crackers hilarious magic and balloon modelling shows, face painting plus traditional funfair attractions including the big wheel and swing-boats.
Some tickets are still available for the whole weekend at a bargain £99, including camping, plus day and evening tickets options. Check out current availability HERE.
Intimate and perfectly formed, Beardy promises to be all rather special and a real treat for the discerning folk community. Our FFA reviewers will be on-site over the weekend to savour the Shropshire hospitality … why not join us?
