The family behind Brownstock Festival are running a secret mini winter festival this New Year’s Eve called Whitestock.

The main festival, each summer at the end of august is renowned for its quirky and homegrown personality. And Whitestock its wintery cousin promises to be a similar quirky affair.

The New Year’s Eve party will be held at a secret location in the Essex countryside. Party goers can choose whether take the Whitestock bus to the event, or to meet at the rendezvous and be taken to the event with the advice being, look out for the helpful cow... On arrival they can expect an array of wintery treats. The Main Whitestock Shack with DJs and live bands showcasing some of Essex’s extensive talent. Acts to be released in the run up to crimble.

There will be a selection of cosy themed yurts, and other winter treats. The fancy dress theme is Apres Ski, and the family will be fully expect bad woolly jumpers and ‘tight and bright’ one pieces suits so to the charity shops you go.

Food will be locally sourced, including home grown beef from the farm, washed down with mulled cider or a butter beer (yes they know this is a fictional thing from harry potter, but they are making their own ;-).

And they have tried to keep it as chirpy cheap as possible. Book yourself a ticket with a bus to and from the local town, and 10 free drinks and you will only need to part with £50. Which, at New Year is a lot less than the average taxi trip.
