Croissant Neuf have announced the Saturday night fancy dress theme for the solar-powered, award-winning Croissant Neuf Summer Party on the 10th-12 August. This year will see Buccaneers and Brigadiers gallivanting across the stunning Iron Age Hill Fort where this family friendly festival is held.

Festival Director Luke Howell says:

Each year we’re amazed by the thought and effort our guests put into their costumes and how much they enjoy getting stuck into the Saturday night theme. This year we’re really going to town getting the site itself dressed to match. We will be on the look-out for the best dressed sea-fearing folk this summer!

Croissant Neuf Summer Party is a treasure chest pack full of live music, circus, crafts, workshops, sports and games. With headliners including Seth Lakeman, Willy Mason, Moya Brennan and Laid Blak it will be hard not to dance the whole weekend through! The CNSP Sports Academy is open for business every day with games and sports for everyone to enjoy- there are even medals for participants presented from the ‘village pavilion’! 

As dusk falls on Saturday guests re-emerge dressed up ready to play. Whether it’s just a hat or a full-blown Blackbeard outfit festival-goers can dress however they please! It’s a great way for families to share the fun together and festival organisers will be on the look-out for the most imaginative offerings parading round the site. Even the bands get stuck into the theme, showing off their sea legs in the two fully solar-powered venues that CNSP boasts.    

So ahoy me hearties, you Buccaneers and Brigadiers, leave the landlubbers behind, load up the booty and head to Usk this summer for a weekend of swashbuckling adventures. Yo Ho you seadogs, it’s time to jig to some shanties and quaff the grog, on the only solar-powered galleon the high-seas have ever seen.
