SFW 8 ( Science Fiction & Fantasy Weekender ) aka Geek Camp, are proud to announce their first wave of entertainment to make next year’s stand-alone festival one to remember.
Buffy, Angel, Smallville and Torchwood only have one thing in common, and that's Sci Fi cult hero James Marsters, who will be making his debut in Pwllheli next March. Joining James will be another Torchwood icon, Gareth David Lloyd and TV writer Phil Ford, who has also covered various Dr Who releases.
Outlander, now deep into season two, continues to be a worldwide success, so to keep in sync and SFW tradition, this year’s outlander panel will feature the mighty talents of Duncan Lacroix and Steven Cree.
Dr Who favourite Frazer Hines drops in for a very special Who panel, which also features Dr Who / Fantasy prop creator Mark Cordory. Prolific writers & SFW favourites, Sam Stone and David J Howe lead the Author Zone with David being heavily involved in our DR Who special.
The Comic legends return with Dez Skinn hosting a variety of creators including Simon Davis, Glen Fabry, Boo Cook, Clint Langley &William Simpson with more to follow shortly.
Cosplay and Prop Makers Artyflakes take point amongst other cosplay performers Tabitha Lyons, David Roth & Alice Drury. More to follow in this area too.
After last year’s gaming time travel, our Retro Gaming Museum will be in full flow again with a new Virtual Reality Zone and a Jedi Training Academy hosted by Luis Villazon, if you fancy having an interactive Drone fighting experience.
Night-time will have a 100 % cheese selection of Geek DJ's, not to mention the incredible talents of Area 51's Imaginarium, the SFW Masquerade Ball and multiple quizzes throughout the weekend.
This is just Wave 1, plenty more to come, but lots to get your teeth into, Sci Fi London will be back hosting the Screening Zone as will Professor Elemental who will be back Centre stage by public demand.
SFW is officially the biggest residential Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival in Europe and returns to Camp SFW, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales on 30th March until 2nd April 2017.
