Cloud 9 Festival to host Live and Unsigned winner!
Cloud 9 Festival is the next festival to confirm it will host the Live and Unsigned champion at its 2012 festival! This announcement means that the Live and Unsigned winner’s festival tour has reached an incredible 14-strong festival tour so far!
The popular one-day Cloud 9 Festival is returning for a much-hyped second outing at the Love Lane Farm in Cheshire on 11th August 2012. Complete with overnight camping, the Cloud 9 Festival promises to tantalise taste buds with a 15-hour sonic spread offering anything and everything. So that’s 5,000 music lovers listening to raucous indie, hard dance, folk, and all that lies between.
Cloud 9’s 2011 festival saw The Futureheads, Ed Sheeran, Scratch Perverts, The Sunshine Underground, Cassette Jam and many, many more light up the golden fields of Love Lane Farm, and had 5,000 people partying late into the night!
This year’s Cloud 9 line up has already revealed some big names including Benjamin Francis Leftwich and world class DJ Yousef, and there are still many more names to be revealed over the coming weeks!
This year the festival’s live music will kick off at 12pm and continue right through until 12am! For those that want to stay and party hard until the early hours, there will be a Silent Disco in the Dome tent until 3am.
Cloud 9 Festival is the 14th festival in 2012 to agree to host the overall Live and Unsigned 2012 champion. So far the incredible winner’s festival tour consists of Cockermouth Rock Festival on the weekend of 20th-22nd July, Stockton Weekender on the 3rd-5th August, before the following weekend will see the winners take to the stage at Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters, Cloud 9 Festival, Strawberry Fields Festival, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Up next is Just So Festival before the first weekend of September will see the winner take Glass Butter Beach on the Friday 31st August, Brownstock Festival on Saturday 1st September and Bingley Music Live Sunday 2nd September by storm! Throughout September, the winning act will play Butserfest (if the winners fit the ‘Rock’ ethos of this great festival), Norfolk Spectacular and London Summer Jam, before ending on a high with Lancaster Music Festival in October.
Chris Grayston, managing director of Live and Unsigned, says:
“This tour is just getting ridiculous. £10,000 cash and 14 festivals?! The winning act are going to have the best summer of their lives, and the recent addition of the illustrious Cloud 9 festival is moving this towards being the BIGGEST UK festival tour of any unsigned act this year! In fact, I imagine most signed acts would be jealous of this tour...What a great opportunity!”
