The famous Cockermouth Rock Festival, or perhaps even more affectionately known ‘CockRock’, returns to the beautiful Cumbrian hills for a ninth year this weekend. Located near the Lake District town of Cockermouth the festival once again offers a veritable feast of entertainment with the likes of The Cribs, Wiley, Reverend and The Makers, Dreadzone, and Kids In Glass Houses.

The music is presented over nine different stages and covers all bases …. You are never far away from some top class artists to rock your boat. With around 180 artists and DJ’s appearing over the weekend there really is something for everyone. There are some cracking headliners but there are some great lesser known bands appearing across the site too. As a fer’ instance - Do try and catch the FFA festival tip, Pikey Beatz, over on The Gatherers Stage for some good-time, high energy Ska/Reggae. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Music is only part of the scene of course; you can expect everything from funfairs and circus tents, workshops, comedy, and loads of stuff for all ages, to plenty of bars and a Real Ale Pub, plus, of course, some of the most idyllic camping locations in the UK.

The festival is not-for-profit and raises funds for Cockermouth Mountain Rescue and The Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance as well as actively promoting local bands and suppliers.

Renowned for its friendly atmosphere and party crowd it all sounds rather good! …..As they say themselves:
