Organisers of Cockermouth Rock Festival  have today announced some exciting changes for CockRock 2012. 

The team behind the festival have taken the decision to introduce a revamped site layout for CockRock 2012. Clint Stamper of CockRock said 'Over the years the festival has grown organically from half a day event to a full 3 day extravaganza, we've listened to our fans opinions and have looked at all the things they love as well as the things they feel could be improved so we feel now is the right time to make some changes to the site to make it even better for our festival goers'. 

Area's such as The Green @ CockRock (which was a new addition for CockRock 2011) will be developed further with more activities and entertainment for families. 

They will also be introducing new area's to the festival including a new home for The Session Tent which will be expanded and developed further with more music and activities for young people. Also on the cards is a new Reggae tent ran by Cumbria's only dedicated Reggae sound system. 

The campsite's will also have a major revamp and big improvements are planned. There's even a new Major Stage planned but details are being kept under wraps for now. 

Ticket prices have also been released for CockRock 2012 which now include a limited amount of Day Tickets. Clint said 'We are making big changes to the site infrastructure and are delighted that we can now accommodate day tickets again'. 

The festival which was established in 2006 is also encouraging more families to attend with Free entry planned for all 12 and under's (accompanied by a ticket holding adult over 18). Adult tickets are still reasonably priced with a Weekend & Camping ticket costing just £60, a Young Adult ticket (13-17) has also been introduced. 

Advance tickets for CockRock 2012 will be on sale from Saturday 10th March
