Tickets will go on sale this Saturday (10th March) for Cockermouth Rock Festival 2012. The festival which is based at Wellington Farm, Cockermouth is promising big things for 2012 including a revamped site and new major stage. Area's such as The Green will also be developed further for families. 

There will be new area's for the festival including a new home for The Session Tent which is being developed in association with Young Cumbria and Aspatria Dream Scheme to include more music and activities for young people. Also on the cards is a Dance Village and a new Reggae tent ran by Cumbria's only dedicated Reggae sound system. 

After last year's line up including favourites Goldie Lookin Chain, Steve Harley, Funeral for a Friend and Gallows, the 2012 line up is eagerly anticipated. Organisers are keeping it  under wraps for now but there are hints that it might be released soon. 

The festival is also encouraging more families to attend with Free entry planned for all 12 and under's (accompanied by a ticket holding adult over 18). Adult tickets are still reasonably priced with a Weekend & Camping ticket costing just £60, a limited amount of Day Tickets will also be released.
