Officially the summer's opening festival, The Camden Crawl is the UK's definitive urban multi-venue arts showcase. 1 ticket gives you everything you could want from a cultural event, all in the proximity of Camden's legendary venues. 300 new, established and emerging bands; the best comedy; exclusive, bespoke and pioneering performing arts; a fully interactive experience and loads more.

The Camden Crawl will introduce the Bank Holiday festival for the first time with an opening night marathon at Camden’s historic KOKO venue on Friday 4th May. As an explosive start to what promises to be the best Crawl ever, psychedelic electronic innovators DEATH IN VEGAS (aka Richard Fearless) will top the evenings bill which celebrates this landmark occasion.

Opening night revelry will commence at 5pm with a four-strong support line up comprised of an eclectic array of 2012’s most promising new live acts. A special edition of Club NME will close the night ahead of the launch the full-blown festival the following day. Full details of the opening night line up will be released imminently. 

This announcement follows the news that Early Bird tickets for the event have now sold out. Weekend passes for the Camden Crawl, scheduled for 5th & 6th May 2012, and tickets for the Opening Night Party featuring Death In Vegas will go on sale from Monday 23rd January.

2012 CAMDEN CRAWL DAYTIME PROGRAMME & EVENING LIVE MUSIC CURATORS REVEALED

Camden Crawl’s evening line-ups are selected by a committee of esteemed music industry tastemakers, including radio DJs, club promoters, journalists and record labels. The dazzling 2012 evening live music line up will be hosted by the following venue curators. 

In addition to the Crawl’s famously impressive evening live music schedule, the festival boasts an extensive arts festival throughout each day of the event. From midday to 6:00pm, the confirmed programme for the 2012 daytime fringe includes cutting edge events from various disciplines, including comedy, storytelling & spoken word, unconventional theatre, craft, visual art and traditional music. It also features a variety of outdoor events, an alternative poster, print & record fair as well as interactive fun & games.

LIVE MUSIC LINE UPS TO BE ANNOUNCED FEBRUARY 2012

The 2012 Camden Crawl programme will feature more than 250 of the year’s brightest music talents from the UK and abroad across Camden Town’s two mile stretch of historic pubs and venues. Following the opening night event, the full festival programme runs from midday on Saturday 5th May until the early hours of the following bank holiday Monday. Tickets are to be exchanged for wristbands which allow unlimited entry to each of the participating venues as individual capacities permit. Ticket price includes lanyard programme guide, festival magazine and 2012 compilation album.

As is tradition, the full venue schedules will remain secret until the event and surprise guests may appear at any time and at any venue.
