Download Festival has announced Def Leppard, Slipknot, and Tool, as its 2019 headliners, plus a further 17 bands in rock, pop punk, hardcore and metal. Download Festival takes place on Friday 14th  -  Sunday 16 June 2019 at  Donington Park, Leicestershire. Tickets will be on sale 2:00pm on Thursday 25th October at 2018 prices until Tuesday 6^th November .

Def Leppard will perform their seminal album Hysteria in full and more, in what will be their  only UK appearance of 2019. Front man Joe Elliott said:

“We are delighted to be going back to headline Download in 2019! The festival has a very special place in our hearts and it’s such a great place to play. We will be playing Hysteria in full - yes, in full! - plus a load more of the hits, and we are going to put on a very special show for our UK fans. Can’t wait to see you all there!”

Download favourites Slipknot return to take the main stage by storm on Saturday, while Sunday will see Tool make their first appearance at Donington in 13 years.

Other artists announced today include Slash will be teaming up with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators,  Whitesnake will take to the stage with the legendary David Coverdale on vocals.  Horror rock legend Rob Zombie along with Trivium and Swedish death metallers Amon Amarth.

Also announced today are: Carcass, Delain, Die Antwoord, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Opeth, Power Trip, Reel Big Fish, Skindred, Starset, Tesla, The Amity Affliction, and Underoath.

Last but not least, I am honoured to welcome true Rock N’ Roll legends Def Leppard to Download who bring with them a UK exclusive chance to see Hysteria played in full.”
