With the dust finally settling on another amazing Dot To Dot festival, it’s time to look back at what was a truly standout year in the event’s history. Taking the finest music acts cross country from Bristol to Nottingham and finally Manchester - which saw record crowds in its second year as part of the festival - Dot To Dot once again proved it’s on the money when it comes to showcasing the best in new music and bringing you the most exciting bands around.
Hurts headlined all three nights at the tri-city festival, blowing away audiences right across the country. There were also amazing performances from Guillemots, We Are Scientists, The Joy Formidable, The Naked and Famous, Trail of The Dead, Phoenix Foundation, Is Tropical, Braids and many more. And instant acclaim was the name of the game as the twittersphere was inundated with satisfied festival-goers tweeting their approval for another corking Dot To Dot line-up.
Dot To Dot Organiser Anton Lockwood commented: “It was another stunning year for Dot To Dot, with many standout performances from a huge array of artists, both established and up & coming. I was particularly pleased to see the closing of Talbot St. in Nottingham for the first time added to the festival atmosphere, and also Manchester really taking Dot To Dot to its heart with hugely increased numbers, and a successful debut for new venue Sound Control. Thanks to all who played, worked, organised and most of all to everyone in all three cities who came along and partied. See you next year!!”
