This weekend sees the return of the Evolution Festival to the Newcastle & Gateshead Quayside, providing veritable who’s who of the Best of Brits mixed with true Rock n’ Roll legends and of course the ever present sparkle of future talent - Evolution brings some of the greatest artists on the planet to the North East for an extraordinary weekend of musical excellence.
Main Stage
Saturday
The legend that is Iggy Pop will headline Saturday night bringing with him The Stooges and their incendiary raw power! Add the meteoric Two Door Cinema Club and rock royalty The Kills and already you get the picture.
Sunday
Plan B and Tinie Tempah need no introduction, the two biggest crossover stars of the last 12 months are proof that UK music no longer lives in the shadow of its American counterpart, with Example in support Evolution brings to the main stage some of the biggest exponents of the UK Music Scene.
The Baltic Stage
The Baltic Stage plays host to Katy B - Caribou - Spank Rock - Annie Mac - Sub Focus & MC I.D Fenech Soler - Mount Kimbie - Zinc plus a whole host more to ensure the Baltic crowd are kept dancing their socks off.

Big Top
Away from the throng in the Big Top on Ballast Hills amongst the holistic healing and the hand pumped ales, Billy Bragg & Bellowhead head up a veritable smorgasbord of left of centre loveliness.
Yet again, Evolution brings the most prolific and diverse musical talent to the North east under one sky and cements its burgeoning reputation as a key date in the international festival calendar.
