Festival on the Moor dazzled the crowds at Botton nr Danby last weekend. The hundreds of folk music fans that turned out despite the poor weather,enjoyed glittering sets from some of the countries best folk musicians . On Saturday Orkney lslanders, The Wrigley Sisters, making their only appearance in England this year enchanted the audience with their fiddle tunes and stories. On Sunday John Kirkpatrick and his show 'Victorian Farmers Year' entertained many in the Joan Of Arc Hall.

Jeanette Grainger Festival Director said 'All in all we are delighted with this years superb event which once again proved the continued quality of our programme. Lots of folk have enjoyed coming and we know that they'll be back next year . Ticket sales were up on last year by around 20%. We are overwhelmed by the many compliments we are receiving, not only for the fabulous musicians and the overall organisation, but also for the fantastic venues and the festivals location in Botton village. Plans are already being made for next year and our super early bird tickets will soon be available. We can't wait!'
