Truck are pleased to announce that the final remaining slots go to last year's much-loved stars Fixers, the southern (Oxfordshire) rock of Lost Dogs and the pyschedelic majesty of the See See.
Also in the BBC Introducing show you can hear an interview with new organiser Ralph Broadbent, talking about the exciting plans for Truck's 15th anniversary- taking all the best bits from years past and adding a sprinkling of stardust, whilst keeping the local connections and roots that are vital to Truck.
As he says in the interview, this will be a back to basics year with all the elements that have made Truck a pioneering event. The barn will be back, now with solar panels on the roof powering the stage, and it'll be great to see acts who have played in their early days returning to Truck bigger, better and with several albums under their belts - including Mystery Jets, British Sea Power, 65 Days of Static and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly!
They will join some very established newcomers to the event including The Temper Trap, Villagers, Guillemots, and of course Tim Minchin - probably the first artist at Truck to have won an Olivier award! Of course, as well as being known for "Matilda" he's just been cast in the new production of "Jesus Christ Superstar", and is verging on superstar status himself.
After early bird tickets sold out in a week, we're pleased to say tickets are moving fast this year and we do recommend buying yours soon to guarantee entry. As Ralph says in the BBC interview, there will be no last minute discounts and the event is likely to sell out. Don't say we didn't warn you! As the weekend ticket represents such good value, there will not be any day tickets either.
Weekend tickets are available now for £69 here.
Tickets are also avaiable in person from Truck Store, 101 Cowley Road and now also from Remade Guitars, Coxeter House, Abingdon.
As last year, alongside the 3 music stages there will be an area devoted to families, with themed activities, parades, workshops and all kinds of theatrical fun taking place in the new Ladybird tent. More details about this soon! There will also be a dedicated family camping area and interesting stalls to explore. With Under-12s going free accompanied by a responsible adult, Truck represents a great value option for families too.
