The first wave of artists for Common People Oxford & Southampton includes headliners Pete Tong presents Ibiza Classics performed by The Heritage Orchestra and Sean Paul.

Pete Tong said “Performing Ibiza Classics with the Heritage Orchestra and Jules Buckley is one of the most exciting things I’ve ever been involved with, from stepping on stage at The Royal Albert Hall for the R1 proms through to performing to a packed to the rafters 02 in London, it’s been a non-stop thrill, now bringing the show to the great outdoors for our first festival appearance at Common People could be our biggest thrill yet!"

Other artists performing include: Groove Armada (DJ Set), Tom Odell, Faithless (DJ Set), Loyle Carner, Wild Beasts, Foals (DJ Set), The Selecter + The Beat, Saint Etienne, Amy Macdonald, House Gospel Choir, Lucy Leave,Becky Hill, Stefflon Don, Seán Mcgowan, Kassassin Street, Elvana: Elvis Fronted Nirvana and Black Kat Boppers.

Common People curator Rob da Bank says: ‘Common People is all about having some proper moments together as friends and family. Our cast this year to make you dance, sing and generally lose your shizzle include none other than recent Number One album artist, Mr Pete Tong, a legend of the dance and Radio 1 for over quarter of a century now, and here with a rare outdoor performance of his orchestral wonder Ibiza Dance Classics. Also, stepping up is Sean Paul, a dancehall god with more bangers up his sleeve than a fireworks factory. Proving able support at both shows will be Groove Armada and loads more fantastic acts, so have a read, explore and see you in the fields my lovely Common People!’

Common People takes place from Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th May at 2 locations Southampton Common, The Avenue, Southampton, SO15 7NN and South Park, 75 Hilltop Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX4 1NT.

Common People is an ideal way to spend the May Bank holiday with friends and family. The festival offers a diverse range of Live music and DJ's, performing on 5 different stages.. In addition to great music you can expect , a large kids area, great food and drink (including wide selections of real ales). The site has all the artefacts we have come to expect from the curators of Bestival and Camp Bestival.
