Rain or shine we all love the beginning of festival season, and what a way to start…Found Festival hit Haggerston Park with a bang. House music, dance music, whatever you want to call it, the Electric scene came to London in style. In typical English style we had rain, clouds and sun, with a City backdrop.

The intimate setting of Found made it easy to stage hop without the feeling of having missed out on something. Main stage was definitely the place to be, with the techno sounds of Cassy getting the crowd going. This was the perfect way to introduce Ben Pearce into the mix…most definitely not disappointing, bringing the house down with his most popular track "What I Might Do" – at which point the clouds parted and the sun came through.
Making our way to the VIP stage, we found ourselves attending The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party – special cocktails at the bar, oh yes a rum punch please, teamed up with a tasty chicken burger fixed those hunger pangs perfectly. And with the sun finally shining the garden seating area was the perfect setting for some chill out time – well as chilled out as you can get at a dance festival. Hosted by Krankbrother, the VIP area delivered a mix of great DJ’s, tunes and a fun filled theme.
Gracing the stage in the NoFitState tent was the incredible Anja Schneider, on the decks in her usual elegant style – albeit banging out some hard hitting tunes. Her techno beats known around the world, brought a little bit of Ibiza to East London…although this party definitely didn’t start at midnight giving the crowd more than enough energy to dance the day away.

Over in the Love Fever tent the mood took a different tone – Moodymann’s smooth touch and chilled out techno vibes added a soulful element to the day. Sticking to his roots, Moodymann gave us a mix of jazzy samples you would expect from his hometown of Detroit. Loosing yourself in this laidback set was easily done and came as a welcome addition to the day.

All in all, Found felt like the perfect fit for the cool East London festival vibe, with definite potential to expand out to a bigger audience. Let’s hope it’s in the calendar for next year’s summer of fun.
