The festival is part of the Butlins Big Weekend offering so the package includes an excellent range of accommodation options, full use of the holiday centre’s extensive facilities, and of course, three days and nights of fabulous music… there are even inclusive meal options if you just want to do nothing but laze and enjoy the sounds! 

2015’s Giants of Rock event features some true legends of the rock world, with enough diversity across the rock genre to satisfy most musical palates. Indeed, never mind the ‘rock’ label; if you just enjoy ‘music’ there is something on this bill to appeal to everybody: from the brash full-on rock of Black Star Riders, to the melodic classical music fused Prog of The Enid, with diversions into the pop-rock world of Slade, the R&B of Climax Blues Band, and the masters of folk-rock Family. Throw in other million seller album acts like the mighty Magnum, and mainstays of the festival scene like The Quireboys, and this is quite a line-up to cram into on one hell of an action packed weekend. Oh, and did we mention Colosseum, Manfred Mann’s Earthband, The Yardbirds, and Focus, or Eddie and The Hotrods, or the …. You get the picture?

Festivals For All loves the concept of events like Butlins Big Weekend’s – you can enjoy the ‘festival’ vibe outside of the traditional festival season in top surroundings, and return to a lovely warm bed at the end of the night... plus you can stroll into lovely seaside towns like Minehead if you really must have a short respite from all that great music.
