The Great British Alternative Music Festival returns to Minehead 28th February – 2nd March 2020 for another Alt / Punk extravaganza.
Our FFA Reviewers simply adore the whole concept of Butlins winter festival weekends, and the GBAMF is a particular favourite. Take a read of the FFA Great British Alternative Music Festival 2019 REVIEW for a flavour of the shenanigans that typically go down at these splendid music weekends.
Make no mistake on two key points; firstly, Butlins host many sorts of music breaks, but their dedicated festival weekends like GBAMF are proper music festivals with all the festival vibe, bonhomie, and spirit of a summer festival… only indoors, in winter. Secondly, Butlins Resorts are excellent holiday locations any time of the year, but they truly shine as first-class winter bases for events like GBAMF. If you’ve not been to Butlins since the Infants, you are in for a real treat. Bright modern resorts with excellent facilities, a range of accommodation and dining options to suit most tastes and pockets, and they are almost tailor-made to host a winter music bash. There is all you need on the Resort – but lovely Minehead is a couple of minutes stroll down the prom if a Cream Tea beckons!
You will be in the company of thousands of like-minded souls, in large auditoria, watching some classic acts including The Boomtown Rats, The Adicts, The Wildhearts, The Undertones, Glen Matlock & Band feat. Earl Slick, From The Jam, Big Country, Nine Below Zero, Angelic Upstarts, The Blockheads, Secret Affair, The Rezillos, The Chords, Hung Like Hanratty, Goldblade, The Hot Rods, The Stiffs, The Members, and Jeramiah Ferrari.
Those lovely folks over at Butlins had some cracking late availability offers last time we looked – so check out the latest availability HERE.
GBAMF is a great weekend of fine music, with fine people, in a great location, why not come and join FFA in the malarkey!
