Guilfest announce another wave of artists for this years festival, including The Farm, Wretch 32, The Popes, Yasmin, Alice Gold, DJ Fresh, Redlight, DC Breaks, Starboy Nathan, Vintage Trouble, Bare Noize, Bar 9, Roxxan, Yo Video, Talay Riley, Paradise Point, Little Fish and St Jude.
The original line-up of legendary Liverpool band The Farm, who have just reformed to play live again in 2011, are set to star on The Good Time Guide Stage on Saturday 16th July. The Farm enjoyed massive worldwide success after the release of their debut album ‘Spartacus’ in March 1991, on their own Produce label, and went on to score eight top forty hit singles in the UK, including anthems such as ‘Groovy Train’ and ‘All Together Now’ - soundtracks for a generation. Organisers are delighted to welcome The Farm, whose raucous lives shows are the stuff of legends, to GuilFest for the first time ever this July.
UK Rapper Wretch 32 is confirmed to perform on the Main Stage at GuilFest on Saturday 16th July. 25 year-old Jermaine Scott, aka Wretch 32 has had an incredible start to the year. After being earmarked by the BBC as a one to watch for their Sound of 2011 list, along with being hotly tipped by NME, MTV and HMV as a rising music star, he has gone on to achieve a Top 5 debut smash with his first commercial single release, ‘Traktor’. Wretch 32 has a way with words that has earned him a reputation as the best lyricist on the scene with everyone from Tinie Tempah through to Professor Green singing his praises.
Celtic rockers The Popes will be supporting Adam Ant on The Good Time Guide Stage on Friday 15th July. Formed in 1993, the band developed a blend of Irish folk and punk, sometimes known as Paddy Beat. The line up has changed over the years, but The Popes remain famous for their full energy, explosive live shows.
21 year old artist Yasmin will be performing on the Main Stage on Saturday 16th July. Yasmin has already crammed several successful careers into one short lifetime. International DJ, respected hip-hop club runner and sometime radio show host, she has supported N*E*R*D, toured Europe with Eve, opened Ibiza Rocks for Dizzee Rascal, played Glastonbury and had a Top 15 hit with UK Rap artist Devlin. Now in the midst of the most exciting explosion of young British music in years, she’s making her mark as a recording artist in her own right.
English singer/songwriter Alice Gold will be appearing on The Good Time Guide Stage on Saturday 16th July. Shortlisted for Q magazines “next big thing” award in 2010, having toured with Eels, Athlete, Noah and The Whale, and with her most recent single “Runaway Love” entering the A List on BBC Radio 2, Alice is making waves throughout the UK music scene and her performance at GuilFest will definitely be a highlight not to be missed. DJ Fresh will be headlining the Kane FM presents Funky End Dance Tent on Sunday 17th July. One of the driving forces behind the success of Drum n Bass, Dan Stein aka DJ Fresh enjoyed early success at the age of 19 as part of “Bad Company” with DnB anthem “The Nine” – voted as the best Drum n Bass tune of all time every year since 2004. Since then Fresh has collaborated with the likes of Pet Shop Boys, DJ Shadow, and Apollo 440 amongst many others, won the Knowledge Magazine Best Producer 2005 award and has been responsible for countless DnB anthems and dancefloor smashers. Also newly confirmed for the Kane FM presents Funky End Dance Tent at this year’s festival are Redlight, Starboy Nathan and RoxXxan, on Friday 15th July; Bar 9, Bare Noize, Yo Video and Talay Riley on Saturday 16th July and DC Breaks supporting DJ Fresh on Sunday 17th July.
Elsewhere on the site new confirmations are Vintage Trouble, performing on Sunday 17th July and Saint Jude on Saturday 16th July, both on The Good Time Guide Stage; As well as Little Fish and Paradise Point – both on the Main Stage on Friday 15th July.

Remember though, GuilFest is not just about the music and throughout the site there are many activities and shows to keep you entertained all weekend.
