Split Festival has announced another wave of acts including Happy Mondays, Gruff Rhys, Smoove & Turrell, Frankie And The Heartstrings, Bleech, The Twilight Sad, Hyde & Beast, School Of Language, Punishment of Luxury, and Boy Jumps Ship, The Lake Poets, Bad Breeding, Lisbon, Lovepark, Nightflowers, Shy Nature, Gallery Circus, Symphonic Pictures, Big Beat Bronson, Lilliput, Kobadelta, Young Liar, Shades, The Sons of Bido Lito, Goy Boy McIlroy, Tissue Culture, Cold Committee, Barry Hyde, Son Of Jack, The Generals, Schultz, Cohesion, Waste Of Space, Iceni, The Firelight Opera, and So What Robot.

The festival takes place at Mowbray Park, Sunderland, Tyne & Wear between 9th Aug 2014 - 10th Aug 2014.

Ross Millard, from The Futureheads, who curates the festival, said: “We’re really aware of the audience we have with Split and we also have ideas on how to build on that audience and to draw people in from outside of the area.

“We’ve really focused on the headliners this year and with Dizzee, Happy Mondays, Maximo Park and The Cribs, I really think, for the first time, we have all bases covered. “There’s a lot of hits amongst those four artists.”
