First wave of artists fot Tramlines 2025

Tramlines Festival returns to Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park from Friday 25th – Sunday 27th July, 2025, for its 16th edition, featuring an impressive line up headlined by Pulp, The Reytons, and Kasabian. This year’s festival promises an unforgettable experience with a mix of iconic acts, local talent, and vibrant community activities.

Friday night will be a historic moment as Sheffield legends Pulp headline and curate the main stage, this marks only their fourth performance in Sheffield since 2000. Joining them are Spiritualized, delivering atmospheric melodies; cult favourite Baxter Dury; and Parisian indie-folk trio Oracle Sisters. Festivalgoers can also enjoy an energetic DJ set by Hot Chip and a nostalgic performance from Sheffield’s I Monster, known for their hit "Daydream in Blue."

Saturday sees Rotherham’s The Reytons taking centre stage, celebrating their rise to fame with sharp lyrics and dynamic performances. They’re joined by Franz Ferdinand’s indie anthems, Rizzle Kicks’ playful pop-rap fusion, and chart-toppers like Natasha Bedingfield and Jake Bugg. Local flavour abounds with acts like Everly Pregnant Brothers and K Dot, while artists like Heather Small and The Futureheads add star power to the day.

Sunday’s grand finale is headlined by Brit-rock titans Kasabian. The day also features theatrical rockers The Last Dinner Party, Norwegian pop sensation Sigrid, and Irish singer-songwriter CMAT. Crowd favourites Scouting for Girls, The Sherlocks, and The Lathums keep the energy high, with rising stars like Cliffords rounding out the weekend.

Tramlines isn’t just about music—it’s a celebration of Sheffield’s culture and community. This year, the festival funded new tree planting in Hillsborough Park, supported by local primary school pupils, and awarded over £30,000 in grants to 36 local causes through the Tramlines Trust. Since 2018, the festival has raised an impressive £260,000 for charity. Accessibility also remains a priority, with hundreds of free tickets provided to local residents and initiatives like Tickets for Good ensuring inclusivity.

Adding to the buzz, creative teasers like Henderson’s Relish-branded bottles featuring band names were spotted across Sheffield, delighting fans and sparking anticipation. Tramlines Operations Director Timm Cleasby remarked, “This lineup celebrates Sheffield’s spirit, blending iconic acts with homegrown talent. We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back to Hillsborough Park.”

Tramlines 2025 promises a vibrant weekend of music, community, and shared memories, solidifying its place as one of the UK’s premier city festivals.

Timm Cleasby, Tramlines Operations Director, said:

“It’s absolutely massive to have Pulp headlining Friday, and even more special to have them curating the whole day—it’s a real celebration of what Sheffield’s all about. The Reytons topping the bill on Saturday is another big moment for the local scene. They’ve come so far, and it’s great to see them getting the recognition they deserve. We’ve put together a line-up that’s got something for everyone, and we’re buzzing to welcome everyone back to Hillsborough Park.”
