After hosting their very first London festival last year, one of the UK’s most loved parties Southport Weekender has revealed the line-up for its second edition on Saturday 9th June at Finsbury Park.  Once again Southport Weekender will be a celebration of house, soul, R&B, garage and disco.

This year's event will be spread across nine arenas that represent a wealth of musical history, bringing together pioneering DJs, live music and the next generation of artist’s flying the flag for house and soul music.

In a London festival exclusive, founding member of American group Sister Sledge, Kathy Sledge, will perform live, backed by a huge catalogue of hits. Further stateside talent is reflected in headliners DJ Jazzy Jeff and one of the godfathers of house music David Morales, who will celebrate 30 years of his Def Mix Recordings imprint alongside Hector Romero and special guests Juliet Roberts, Robert Owens and Alison Limerick who will each perform a selection of live classic songs. Soul II Soul frontman Jazzie B will also be present, alongside disco selector Joey Negro plus classic house acts Louie Vega and Roger Sanchez, with the likes of Henrik Schwarz and Osunlade heading up the festival’s more eclectic offering, plus new wave talent Henry Wu and Alexander Nut.

Also appearing are London House Gospel Choir, The Dreem Teem, So Fresh So Clean while radio station Mi Soul will showcase a range of dynamic artists across soul music, house and reggae.
