Hundred Reasons will perform at the 2000trees Festival, delighted organisers confirmed today.

The alternative rock act will play their entire debut album Ideas Above Our Station on the main stage on Saturday night.  

After 14 months of near-constant touring, Hundred Reasons released their debut album, Ideas Above Our Station (2002), to critical acclaim and commercial success. The album yielded the singles, "If I Could", "Silver" and "Falter". 

Hundred Reasons have sold in excess of 250,000 records and have had six Top 40 singles. They have won three Kerrang! awards for: "Best New Band" (2000), "Best Album" (2001) and "Best Unsigned Act" (2004).

But fans will have to be quick, as tickets are almost sold out for the festival, which brings together 80 acts on four stages in the picturesque Cotswolds, on July 12-14.

Larry Hibbitt, guitar and vocals in Hundred Reasons, said: “People always say great stuff about 2000trees so we're looking forward to checking it out for ourselves.

“They seem to be really into promoting new British music and that's something we've always tried to do as a band too, taking bands we love on tour. It should be a highlight of the summer!” 

This year’s line-up also includes 65daysofstatic, Futureheads, Guillemots, Pulled Apart By Horses, Future of the Left, Gallows, Three Trapped Tigers, The Xcerts and many more. Plus there will be comedy, quality food and drink, children’s entertainment and a healing area.

Festival organiser James Scarlett said: “We’ve tried to book Hundred Reasons every year since we started 2000trees in 2007, we absolutely love them, so we are over the moon they have agreed to play.

“We hope fans will be as excited to see the return of this excellent band to the stage as we are, they will undoubtedly create a special atmosphere at the main stage and I cannot wait.”

2000trees has established itself as one of the leading small festivals in the British summer calendar, winning the Grass Roots Festival Award in the UK Festival Awards 2010 – voted for by festival fans. 

Around 5,000 music lovers gather for a fun and friendly weekend of live music and the chance to discover their new favourite bands.

Upcote Farm has previously played host to Frank Turner, Dan le Sac v Scroobius Pip, Bombay Bicycle Club, Los Campesinos!, Pulled Apart By Horses, Tribes, Frightened Rabbit, The Subways, Goldheart Assembly and Tall Ships - to name but a few.
