With a headline cast boasting Moterhead, W.A.S.P and Immortal, BOA have announced another fantastic act to the bill.

Norwegian musical mastermind Ihsahn makes the first UK festival appearance of his 21 year career at BLOODSTOCK this summer on the RONNIE JAMES DIO stage. Rising to notoriety fronting symphonic Black Metallers Emperor, IHSAHN’s career has been one of constant growth and development, from his early days in the controversial Norwegian Black Metal scene, through the partnership with his wife in the Avante-garde Peccatum, to the solo work that he currently devotes his life to, not to mention guest appearances with the likes of Ulver, Acturus and fellow BLOODSTOCK performer DEVIN TOWNSEND. The results is a rich and varied musical tapestry, progressive combination of technical , blackened metal with a heavy classical bent, which is sure to delight the metal masses at BLOODSTOCK.
“I have strong musical bonds to the UK, both as fan and artist” declares IHSAHN. “I played my first UK show back in 1993 but this will be my first open-air appearance and I’m really looking forward to it.
