Fairport's Cropredy Convention 2011 | ||
10th - 12th Aug 2011 Cropredy, nr Banbury, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom |
Unknown |
As has been widely reported, a section of the A361 will be closed between Junction 11 and the Cropredy turn over the Cropredy weekend and to minimize the inconvenience to both festival-goers and locals alike, please read the following advice very carefully.
Most people will be arriving on the morning of Thursday 11 August and so obviously, this is when the traffic will be at its heaviest. Please pick the route that suits you best and avoid using the country lanes where possible. The locals have had a big enough headache for many months with the closure without us adding to their woes.
The most effective way to get on site and avoid waiting in traffic will be to stay away from Junction 11 (Banbury) on the M40 completely. This will mean having to allow extra time for your journey but you will get on site much more quickly. There will be a local signed detour from J11, complete with a one-way system but given the sheer volume of traffic expected, this will undoubtedly take longer. PLEASE use an alternative route on Thursday morning
