Wychwood Festival, the UK's leading family festival, has extended the judging for the 'BBC Introducing...in Gloucestershire' stage, the festival's third stage, by inviting members of the public to vote on their favourite bands via the Wychwood Facebook profile.

By inviting friends of the festival and fans of the 70 shortlisted bands, Wychwood Festival is giving the public the opportunity to help curate the annual BBC Introducing Stage at the three-day festival. No other festival in the UK provides the opportunity for wanting fans, eager to help create a bespoke hub for emerging talent, the chance to be directly involved in what has widely been regarded in previous years as the most exciting of the three stages at Wychwood Festival.

BBC Introducing presenters from BBC Radio Gloucestershire and the six surrounding regions, including BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Radio Oxford, BBC Radio Wiltshire and BBC Coventry & Warwickshire have each submitted 10 emerging acts that they are currently championing on their station. These 70 bands are now available to listen to via a BBC Introducing tab on the Wychwood Facebook profile. Each artist and their track is ready and waiting to be listened, loved or discarded by the public, the press, industry experts and the festival organisers before all votes are collected and verified and the final line-up of 28 bands across the weekend is decided. The public will be able to have their say alongside industry luminaries such as BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson and Wychwood Festival Director Graeme Merifield and the final, three-day line-up will be announced in due course.

Judging is now open via the Wychwood Facebook page.

Famed for delivering a truly family-focused festival experience, Wychwood leads the way with innovative programming designed to delight children as well as wonderful music from around the world to entertain the adults.  Since launching in 2005, Wychwood has become one of the UK’s most successful independent arts events of the summer season and been nominated in the ‘Best Family Festival’ category at the UK Festival Awards every single year.  Taking place at Cheltenham Racecourse and set against the picturesque backdrop of the Prestbury Hills, Gloucestershire, Wychwood Festival is charming in both setting and content an one not to be missed.
