Just So Festival is delighted to announce the confirmation of support from Arts Council England, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Staffordshire County Council for the second Just So Festival, which will take place from 19th-21st August. Just So Director, Rowan Hoban said “We are thrilled to have received the backing of Arts Council England and Staffordshire Councils. The National Lottery ‘Grant for the Arts’ is recognition of the high quality arts provision that Just So Festival delivers to children, young people and their families and our commitment to finding new and creative ways for families to experience the arts together. To also have the support of both Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council represents the importance we place on our links with the local area and our position within the community.”

The Just So Festival is a weekend-long festival of creativity aimed at children, young people and their families. The festival provides a magical experience where art, music, theatre and literature are embedded and entwined in a beautiful, natural landscape. The Just So Festival is the brainchild of two mums, with seven children between them, who met in the playground and dreamt of a festival that was all about families. Their dream came true for the first time in 2010 and their creative woodland adventures are set to continue in 2011.

Responding to the grants awarded to Just So Festival Co-Director, Sarah Bird said “When so many areas of the arts are having their funding cut, we are delighted to have this backing confirmed. Our focus is in making the arts accessible for the whole family; not just as entertainment but through participation and play. We want children to take away the wonder of that experience and for it to stay with them. The support we have received from the Arts Council and both Staffordshire Councils is recognition of these aims and values.”
