Part III sees Chase & Status, Erol Alkan, Hudson Mohawke, Breakage, Citizen, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur and more

Part III - Saturday 26th November 2011

 Part II of TRILOGY, the new collaboration from Metropolis and Wax:On, raised the bar on Saturday with outstanding performances from a collection of music stars. Labrinth, Knife Party, Artwork, Azari & III and Beardyman, kept clubbers dancing into the small hours with their infectious electronic beats and bass lines. 

The three part season continues to shine a light on Leeds as a significant clubbing destination, as thousands flock for the third and ultimate part of TRILOGY on 26th November 2011. With Chase & Status, Breakage, Doorly, Erol Alkan, Hudson Mohawke and many more set to headline, the first ever TRILOGY season is set to conclude with a triumph. 

Headlining the Stylus stage at the weekend was hot producer and man-of-the-moment Labrinth, treating fans to an electrifying LIVE set playing chart-smashes such as ‘Sunshine’ and ‘Earthquake’, for which he produced an electric guitar much to the crowds delight. Also playing the Stylus stage and keeping the crowd entertained until the plug was pulled was Knife Party, two parts of Drum & Bass dons Pendulum, who thrilled clubbers with their mind-blowing light show. 

Rising stars of underground Azari & III wowed the Mine dancefloor with their flamboyant costume and catchy melodies including infectious hit Hungry for the Power, which kicked off their live set to a cheering crowd. Following Azari & III were The 2 Bears who took the crowd on a rollercoaster ride through house to disco and back, playing the likes of Joe Goddard’s contagious hit Gabriel which went down a storm with partygoers. 

Finally, the terrace was full to the brim for the highly-anticipated sets from Jungle legend Shy FX and the super-talented beat boxer Beardyman, completing a world-class line-up and cementing a truly electric night.

In keeping with the spirit of Halloween, fancy dress dominated the Trilogy dance floors adding to the exciting and light-hearted atmosphere, all paving the way for a highly-anticipated finale to the TRILOGY.

Part 3 will feature chart-smashers and genre-leaders Chase & Status, playing a highly coveted DJ set which will undoubtedly include many of their outstanding collaborations. Joining the duo is Drum & Bass sensation Breakage, mash-up inventor Erol Alkan, the psychedelic Hudson Mohawke, and new-kid Doorly, plus many more.
