Now then.  Over in some beautiful fields in the heart of the stunning Eastnor Castle estate in Herefordshire, Lakefest is readying to hit the GO button for what promises to be one of the best Lakefest events ever. There are few better places in the UK to be over the long weekend of 7th-11th of August than those hallowed playgrounds of pure, unadulterated joy that constitute the Lakefest experience. FFA have followed this magical festival from its early beginnings, and trust us here, our Reviewers have witnessed Lakefest grow from humble beginnings in to one of the best festivals of its size anywhere on the circuit.

It’s not just about the bands, it never was. Lakefest has developed into a festival that is much more than the transitory artist roster that it offers up each year – consistently excellent as they are. This year, the likes of The Stranglers, Rudimental, The Libertines, and Olly Murs grace the stages along with a supporting bill of diverse and multi-genre offerings over four splendid days. But Lakefest is much much more. It offers multiple stages and event spaces for a whole host of musical, spoken word, EDM, arts and crafts, Wellness experiences, and leftfield, mind-blowing, malarkey such as Wrestling, Archery, and BMX stunt shows, plus a catalogue of other merry experiences for all age groups. Lakefest certainly packs a punch, and FFA have only just scratched the surface. Lakefest is an event offering quality, quantity, and value in equal measure. No wonder our Reviewers are gagging for this one!

But, park all that, excellent as it is – what makes Lakefest really special is its people. This crowd is to die for. There is a buzz, a spark here, that money just can’t buy. The sense of community and oneness at Lakefest makes the air crackle. Eastnor becomes a wonderful sea of swirling, happy humanity… as it should be. We can’t wait!
