Follow the winding path through the enchanting woodland and you will stumble upon the Sunrise Arena, a haven for the best in up-and-coming music and be the first to see tomorrow’s stars today, deep within the woods.

Headlining the Saturday night in the intimate Sunrise Arena is Scotland’s fast- rising star, Steve Mason. Formerly of The Beta Band and sometimes also known under the names King Biscuit Time and Black Affair, Steve Mason released his first album under his own name – with producer Richard X – in 2010. Entitled 'Boys Outside' it was one of the best debuts of the year matching Steve's distinctive way with words and downbeat vocals with Richard X's ultra-modern, sheen production. Raw and shot through with dark pop melodies, Steve is one of Scotland's most promising talents.

Sunday night will see a late set from Leeds’ Submotion Orchestra after headliners Crystal Fighters have performed. Having rapidly built up a reputation as one of the most interesting and original projects emerging from the UK today, Submotion Orchestra draw upon dubstep, soul, ambient electronica, jazz and dub. This fusion creates unique music that is at once delicate and heavy, spacious and dense, highly atmospheric but firmly rooted. Earth-shaking bass and drums combine with lush keyboard and trumpet textures to create the perfect bed for the fragile beauty of Ruby Wood’s vocals, and the celestial effects of sound designer Ruckspin. Playing tracks from their recently released debut ‘Finest Hour’ their blissed-out grooves is the perfect way to end the Sunrise Arena line-up at another fantastic Latitude Festival.
