More cool artists join Sir Bob Geldof in the fields at LodeStar 2012!

How do you get an independent festival triple its audience year on year?

Lodestar’s answer seems to be word of mouth and a surprising ticket price when looking at what is on offer over its 3 days and nights!  Promising annual Indian summer weather may be one ingredient but there seems to be more to LodeStar.  Mostly void of theme it appears to rely on a strong ethos, which comes across when you visit the website.

It has certainly gained the reputation of putting on some of the coolest bands going.  Taking a closer look at the line-up artists are from across the UK, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

The style and value of LodeStar seems to have won over a growing audience with early bird tickets selling out before any line-up announcements, remember we are talking of a boutique festival entering its fourth year. That shows the pull LodeStar is now attracting!  2012 is building into an interesting year for LodeStar having Sir Bob Geldof headlining on the Saturday.  A few OMG’s and Wow’s can be seen splattered across the festival’s Facebook page in response!

Latest on the line-up is:

Katzenjammer

“Norwegian girl group who've taken Europe by storm with their great brand of music with their unique blend of folk, pop and rock using 15 instruments on stage.” BBC Breakfast time television.

BIGkids

With Ben Hudson (Mr Hudson –“Supernova”) & Rosie Oddie, Bill Oddie’s bubbly daughter

Amanda Mair

Amanda Mair bring ideas of a what a young, Swedish Dusty Springfield produced by Kate Bush might have sounded like if she arrived today. With melodies lit by sunlight and a voice that goes straight to the heart this is nothing less than pure magic.

Over 50 acts from pop, rock, indie, late night dj’s, through to theatre, comedy and burlesque make the reason to be there even stronger.

So far LodeStar’s line-up includes:

The Go! Team

Ryan Keen

Animal Kingdom
