This year my family were asked to review Lollibop the UK’s biggest kid's festival at its new home at Hatfield House, how could we say no.

Billed as the Big Bash for Little People we arrived at Hatfield house and I was shocked at the number of cars, however it was so organised and with VIP parking it meant we moved straight to the front which was ideal with kids in tow.

We off loaded the picnic items and headed towards the main entrance, arriving at the front gate to be met by a really big teddy, which made the kids go crazy. They were even more excited now to be there and go in and have some fun.

Some of the live performances were from some of the biggest names in children’s entertainment, including Cbeebies superstar Justin Fletcher, Mister Maker, Mr Bloom, CBBC’s Sam & Mark, Alex Winters and Lazy Town, to name just some of the entertainment on offer.

Our day started off by watching Lazy Town at the open stage area, the weather was pleasant and the crowd were very lively. When we arrived it was not too busy but as the day went on it did get extremely busy, but saying that we were still able to find a great place to have a picnic, enjoy the shows and also able walk around without being pushed or jostled.

I would say our favourite part of the festival was seeing Justin Fletcher, it was great hearing the kids and the whole crowd singing along to all the songs.

Other areas we enjoyed included LolliBooks a new area created for LolliBop 2014, in partnership with Puffin and Ladybird, which included storytelling, character appearances, a Lolli Library, Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre and Michaela Strachan’s Really Wild Adventures Show.

The activity stalls and food stalls were also very nice, although the food was a little expensive, but this is standard for food at a festival. Overall I would recommend it to other familes as a great festival for the whole family.

Festival Director Gareth Cooper said: “Our new home, Hatfield House, was the perfect location for our festival, with great transport links and ample on site parking, it made LolliBop more accessible than ever before. We’d like to thank everyone who came to LolliBop and helped make it such a fantastic day out for the whole family.”

On Saturday 16th August I went to Lollibop Festival. We got there at 10 o'clock and we parked in the field. When I sow the rainbow it looked amazing and I couldn't wait to get in.

I was so looking forward to seeing Swash Buckle, but when I got to the tent the show had already started so I missed it. My favourite thing was when I made my ladybird, a lovely lady helped me make it.

Me and my family went to a Lollibop festival on August 16th. We parked in a field right at the front we got there at 10am. When we entered my first thought was "wow this is amazing." The first thing I sow was a giant teddy bear, it was the biggest teddy I had ever seen.

We checked what was on the map it was Lazy Town so we ran to the stage. My favourite character was Justin Fletcher, he was very funny.

We then looked around the stalls and we stopped at the Roald Dahl reading bug....

As it was a lovely day we had a picnic of sandwiches and crisps... I enjoyed the day very much.
