LONDON REMIXED FESTIVAL SAT 24TH NOVEMBER 2012 MUSIC, PERFORMANCE, ARTS 1 DAY - 3 VENUES -1 TICKET – SHOREDITCH
Party power houses and long standing partners including Global Local, Movimientos, Two For Joy, Wormfood, The London Folk Guild and Kazum showcased their own variety of remixed talent in one of three venues in the hubbub of London’s trendy East End last night for the first ever LONDON REMIXED FESTIVAL.
November 24, 2012, LRF hosted the only end of season festival, brought to you by the biggest and best festival organisers, venue promoters and music agencies the UK has to offer.
From Roma to rumba, Latin beats to Afro funk, Nu folk to no folk, LRF brought the best remixed talent from 2012’s UK festivals, remixed for the 21st Century, to London where everybody partied and danced the night away.
Bedroom Bar hosted the legendary Polka Tent straight from Bestival where Gypsy and Hoedown mayhem ensued. Movimientos’ Latin Quarter partied hard at Village Underground, and at Rich Mix, Wormfood got down with African Rootmaster. London Folk Guild held fort at the Acoustic Boutique Campsite upstairs at Rich Mix. Complete with hay bales, tents, artisan ales and farmers cider, every venue was packed full of global music lovers.
Bonus treats included the ridiculously fun Disco Lift and stilt walkers!
Continental Drifts/Global Local are all about creating a buzzing atmosphere, they have put together some of the best line ups at the UK’s greatest, biggest and most loved festivals such as Bestival, Shangri La at Glastonbury, Lovebox, Secret Garden, Wilderness, Big Chill, Boomtown, Festival Number 6 and Glade amongst others.
