Kendal Calling will once again host the multi faceted arena 'Lost Eden' with newly commissioned sculptures, performance art, talks, pop up cinema, virtual reality and much more. Artists appearing include: The Lost Disco: Kag Katumba, Soul Swing, Act.Natural, Kerouac, Symetrik, TwoGood, Olsen, Kahwe, House of Wax, Carl Tait, Justkeys, Ki Creighton, Matt Robinson, Mike Barty, Post War Glamour Girls, Barry Hyde, The Hey Down Treaders, MYE MI, Tom Peel, Rory Connor, LIVI, Beachmaster, Parade Close, Jake Houlsby, Dansi, Pop-up Puppet Cinema and TwoGood.
This year will see new commissions including: Tatterdamelion Grove by Dave Young, Mechanical Heart of the Forest by Felicity Jones, Love Motel for Insects by Brandon Ballengee, The Celestial Sound Cloud by Pif Paf, The Cabin by Anna Mulhearn, Conversing with Eden by Howard Ashley Storey, The Hive in association with Lakes Alive and the Lake District National Parks Authority.
The Spoke Word area will see panel discussions with: JB Barrington, Trampolene, Dave Viney Presents, Bang Said The Gun, Louder Than War Q&A. There will also be performance from:Mr Wilsons Second Liners, Kitsche & Sync, The Magic Lantern Company, ‘Ceirw – A Savage Hart’ by Citrus Arts, and BEES! The Colony by Artizani.
Kendal Calling is set in the stunning surrounds of the Lake District’s Eridge Deer Park, from Thursday 28th - Sunday 31st July. This innovative, independent festival is renowned for more than just music and festival lovers will also enjoy 4 days of arts installations, comedy, gourmet food, kid’s entertainment and a real ale festival all within the confines of what is widely regarded to be the most beautiful festival site in the UK.
