Following sold out dates last September 19 year old MC Mac Miller returns to the UK for three tour dates including at show at London’s HMV Forum. The rapidly rising star in the hip hop community, Malcolm ‘Mac Miller’ McCormack has gone from being a local sensation in his native Pittsburgh to selling out venues all across the United States and Europe. 

A multitalented musician who can play numerous instruments and a young novice of the freestyle/cipher/battle circuit of his hometown, Mac has been paving his way to superstardom in his blue-collar hometown for years. He was inspired by artists such as The Beastie Boys, Outkast and Big L to develop his own art of rhyme and to deliver his jaw dropping freestyles. Recording his first songs in 2007, Mac went on to form a duo called The Ill Spoken. By 2009, Mac began recording solo records. During this time he released “The Jukebox” and “The High Life” and began to generate a legitimate buzz in the streets and online.By the end of 2009 Mac had released his first two recording projects, “The Jukebox” and “The High Life”, generating a buzz in both the streets and across the Internet. After signing with independent record label Rostrum Records Mac released his debut album ”K.I.D.S”, with the songs “Knock Knock” and “Nikes On My Feet” generating over 20 million YouTube hits between them. 

The year 2011 also showcased Mac’s selling potential as his debut Rostrum EP, “On and On and Beyond,” sold over 60,000 copies digitally alone. Mac has also sold over a million singles total with little to no radio airplay. His debut LP “Blue Slide Park” debuted No #1 overall on the US Billboard charts selling over 140,000 copies and was the first independent artist to do this in over 10 years .  Look for Mac Miller to be the new face of music this year and beyond.
