Nottingham's Splendour Festival have announced the headliners for this years event will be The Manic Street Preachers, making their first appearance in Nottingham for 12 years and The Specials.

George Akins, owner of promoters DHP Family , said: 

"Manic Street Preachers and The Specials are two legendary bands and have made a huge mark on the UK music scene. We're delighted to have them both with us on the main stage at Splendour celebrating two very special anniversaries. The crowd can expect a belter set of some of their greatest hits."

The family friendly Splendour takes place on Saturday 20th July at Wollaton Park, the festival will play host to 40 artists over 3 stages.
