Loose Cannon Events prepare for what promises to be their biggest dj line up to date, after last years first marquee event sold out to an audience of 1500 people. The concept this year reflects a mini festival event with three separate day time stages and one super club after party experience. They aim this year to double our numbers from last year providing Teesside clubbers with an event for their clubbing calendar.

The three day time stages will be represented by three dynamic local brandswith over 20 years of heritage and cutting edge events across the years. The main stage will be hosted by the recently launched and flagship event of the loose cannon brand ‘Get Loose’. The second stage will be hosted by a brand that has been running in the town for ten years and represents cutting edge underground events ‘*riffraff’. Finishing the line up is a brand that for many older clubbers will have a special place in their hearts as they pioneered the dance sound for decades, that brand is of course ‘Sugarshack’.

Now to the exciting part, the Get Loose marquee will feature two men who pretty much played every major festival last year and supported London Grammar on their recent tour they are the energetic duo of Bondax. Alongside them is a lady who remix’s and productions have catapulted her amongst the dj elite’s is Hannah Wants. Completing the marquee is a man whose biggest production saw his track become the most Shazamed record of Ibiza 2013, it is of course Ninetoes. Joining them will be residents Joe Blackett, Jordan and Shaun Mac.

The riffraff marquee will be headlined by none other than house music royalty and leader of Viva records Sir Steve Lawler. Supporting him are two men who themselves have calved their way into the scene but together with their mind blowing Live show they seem set to have a great year, they are Dense & Pika aka Glimpse and Alex Jones. Support also comes from Zoo project and riffraff resident Lee Pennington as well as Phillip Stirzaker, Kristopher and Milhouse.

In the legendary Sugarshack marquee they have a line up that all ages can relate to with Funky House veterans Shapeshifters set to headline. With anthems like Lola’s theme these guys really need to introduction. Joining them in force will be Lisa Millet who will perform tracks like ‘Bad Habit’ Live to the Sugarshack faithful. The next name on the bill is responsible for the rebirth of a house music anthem, they are of course Soul Central who will be performing together for the first time this year for us bringing back ‘Strings of life’ and then they have a man who’s been at Hed Kandi from the start, he’s seen it all and played it all it is John Jones. Completing the tent will be The Peverell brothers who themselves have a string of exciting releases this year.

So thats the day time sorted with things getting kicked off at 4pm and wrapped up by 10.30pm were they then turn their attention to the super club after party. The Middlesbrough Empire home of Sugarshack will open its doors filled with yetmore headline artists on display. In the main room The Get Loose team will take over again with a man who’s productions saw him become the most charted artist on resident advisor last year he is Sidney Charles and alongside him is a product of Leeds in the shape of Josh Butler. Up in room two Riffraff take the reins with a very exciting b2b set. Two men who are sure to come out of this year as big hitters they are Leon Vynehall and Medlar. Completing the line up we introduce another local brand ‘Right_On’. Another local brand providing cutting edge music with residents Grant Tolley and Wally Black providing the back bone of each event. Joining them will be space resident Ian Blevins who has established himself as a We Love regular over the past 5 years.
