One weekend isn't enough partying for The Big Reunion and the second weekend begins on 25th November 2011. New acts have been confirmed for this year's final line up and we are delighted to announce the following additions to the line up!
Chase and Status, hailed as the ‘most exciting producers in the UK today’ will be performing a DJ set at the second weekend of this year’s Big Reunion. After meeting at university in the mid-90’s with a mutual love of drum and bass, Saul Milton and Will Kennard have become one of the biggest electronic acts around! Since meeting they’ve remixed some of the hottest stars including Jay-Z and The Prodigy as well as writing their own massive tunes like ‘End Credits’ (featuring Plan B), ‘Blind Faith’ and the summer anthem of 2010 ‘Let You Go’.
The 2008 MOBO awards’ best newcomer and best hip-hop act Chipmunk will be playing on the Friday night. Born and raised in Tottenham, Jamaal Noel Fyffe (otherwise known as Chipmunk) has landed five top ten hits including ‘Champion’ and ‘Oopsy Daisy’ which went straight to number one in 2009. He has worked with big stars such as Trey Songz, Keri Hilson and Chris Brown and with a new top ten album, Transition, released earlier this year he is sure to bring a champion performance!
Two time Brit Award winner, three time MOBO award winner and Mercury Prize winner Ms Dynamite is another new addition to this year’s line up! Raised in Archway, London she first appeared on London pirate stations with underground grime track ‘Booo!’, and soon made a name for herself with a top ten album and several top ten singles, plus recently featuring on Katy B’s track ‘Lights On’. With classic tracks like ‘It Takes More’ and ‘Dy-na-mi-tee’ she is going to blow you away on the Saturday with an explosive performance.
Rizzle Kicks will be bringing the trumpets to this year’s festival and having been nominated for best video, best hip/hop grime act and best newcomer at this year’s MOBO awards they are heading towards being one of the most important names in hip/hop. They already have a top ten single under their belt with ‘Down with the Trumpets’ and are sharing company with the likes of Olly Murs, landing a number one single with ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ in the process.
