The Big Reunion is set to kick off with its first weekend of this year beginning on the 18th November 2011. New acts have been confirmed for this year’s final line up and are delighted to announce the following additions to the lineup.
Drum and Bass Superstars Pendulum formed in 2002 in Western Australia, the band members were active in Perth’s live music scene for over several years. In 2010 their album “Immersion” went straight to number one in the UK album chart with their single “Watercolour” claiming the number 4 spot in the UK single chart, making it the biggest hit to date. They have had numerous successes with their music, with well known hits including “Witchcraft, The Island, and Tarantula”.
Ms Dynamite is an artist who was born and raised in Archway, London. She was first know for her vocal on the UK garage track “Booo!” it was only released on the radio but eventually turned into a single. When she first started her biggest hit was “Dy-na-mi-tee” which was released in 2002. She picked up the Mercury Music prize and the rest is history.
Having taken a bit of time out starting a family she has made a come back, and she now features on Katy B’s second single “Lights on” which was released in December 2010 and reached number 4 in the UK single charts.
Toddla T is a 26-year old from Sheffield. He has DJ’d with Winston Hazel and Ross Orton. He has recorded and written his own tracks called, “Back chatter” and “Fill up mi potion” these are both versions on his "Do U Know Riddim”.
Toddla’s first album features further collaborations with Matt Helders from the Artic Monkeys, Benjamin Zephaniah, Roots Manuva, Tinchy Stryder, Joe Goddard and Herve.
He is involved in recording and producing various artists such as Jammer, Trojan Sound System, Lady Chann and Tinchy Stryder. He recently signed to the record label Ninja Tune and is currently working on his next album.
Rizzle Kicks have been nominated for the Best Newcomer, Best Hip Hop/ Grime & Best video at the 2011 MOBO Awards.
The group are originally from Brighton and have already released 3 hit singles in 2011. Prophet ( Better watch it), Down with the trumpet and Youngster have got Rizzle noticed in a big way and made him a darling of the UK scene. Currently in the charts on Olly Murs' new single “Heart skips a beat” features Rizzle Kicks.
This is just some of the acts that are going to be performing for all you lucky people who are attending this fabulous winter music festival at Skegness.
