John Nichols, Head of Marketing, Nokia UK, said “Building on the success of Nokia at Tramlines 2011, we wanted to return with something new and exciting. Lumia means light so opening the main stage on Friday night for the first time with a light show and homegrown talent is the perfect way to do this. This is another great example of Nokia’s commitment to local events and communities.”
Festival Director, Sarah Nulty, commented: “We are delighted to be opening this year's festival with some true Sheffield talent, and for the first time ever, opening the main stage on Friday night. Reverend and the Makers played our very first year and we are really pleased to have them back. We think this year will be bigger and better than before.”
