~CHRISTMAS OFFER FESTIVAL TICKETS ON SALE!~
*limited supply only*
Nozstock The Hidden Valley, is pleased to announce Christmas special adult weekend tickets for the three-day festival are on sale, from the official website www.nozstock.com at the incredibly reasonable early-bird price of last year.
Hidden amongst the rolling hills of Herefordshire in the Marches, stands the Farm that hosts Nozstock The Hidden Valley. Founded by local residents during those hazy and halcyon days at the turn of the millennium, it’s a homegrown event built from a curious amalgamation of performance, art, electronic supersounds and good old-fashioned guitar-strumming and drum-bashing. Now an established, leading family event in its 14th year, Nozstock is a sonic escape boasting eight main stages of entertainment with surprising sights and intimate, secluded areas of theatre and discovery to be unearthed.
When its visitors down tools and hand themselves over to the laid back atmosphere of the event for three pleasure-filled days, there’s a small world of frivolity to find, all scrupulously programmed by the festival’s founders, the Nosworthy family and their eclectically-informed friends.
The festival’s ethos is about bringing play to everyone, in whatever form it can. Nozstock believes in the value of not only entertaining, but in participation and contribution. Above all, Nozstock is a blissful family festival that caters to all ages and desires with activities that little ones can enjoy as well as families. It’s this accessibility to all walks of life that makes the festival so welcoming and keeps the regulars coming back for more year on year.
Quote from Farmer Pete Noz: “It’s going to be really difficult to top 2011’s festival – we had such an amazing year. Loads of great feedback from artists and punters alike. The crew are up to the challenge though and we’ve already started making plans for a groundbreaking 2012 extravaganza. We’re going to be keeping those luxuries that we brought in last year like boutique camping, and building on that with a fantastic variety of tasty foods and more unusual ways to give punters a properly relaxed weekend of sunshine lounging. For a lot of our regulars Nozstock is their summer holiday weekend so we’re going to be doing our utmost to make it totally unforgettable. And of course we’ll be bringing back some amazing theatrics and stunts as with every year. Sock-wrestling again? Who knows? There’s still so much to decide. Trust me - there’s a lot of exciting ideas bubbling away and you won’t be disappointed.”
NEW FOR 2012:
This year’s theme : ‘Myths & Legends’. You might say it’s a theme classic but after a lengthy committee voting process (!) the Myths & Legends won out. We’ll be keeping our eye out for the best Pegasus outfits and Medusa wigs… the key question is ‘who’s going to win the title of King Midas?’
Nozstock’s home-grown bars will offer the Wye Valley's favourite brew Butty Bach, local Kingston Rosey & Press ciders... the usual spirits, lagers, wines and we’re already working on new recipes for some homemade cocktails, embellished with our own special ingredients. We always try to keep as close to pub prices as we can and 2012 will be no different.
Food will be sourced locally where possible. An eclectic mix from around the world to stimulate the tastebuds. For carnivores there’ll be the delicious Hog on the Spit, tasty burgers and there’s healthy vegan and veggie options too.
Every year we try to add a little something new to the site and there’s likely to be a new hidden performance space for 2012, but you’ll have to have something of the ingenious detective about you to find it!
