Brand new for 2012 Play Fest are opening on Friday this year and have programmed a choca bill of first-rate music and entertainment for the Friday night. With the campsite gates opening at 4pm and the arena opening at 6pm on Friday 1st June all weekend camping ticket holders get a bonus evening to stretch out the Play-time and ensure this bank holiday is crammed full with even more festival frivolities! With tickets selling fast grab an £80 full weekend ticket as fast as you can!
With all stages, apart from the Main Stage, fully up and running for the Friday evening, revellers are invited to join in the fun and games much earlier this year! The Dance Arena will be running from 6pm all the way through to 1am with The POW! Party Boys kick staring proceedings, followed by Attack Yourself!, Juxta Poser, Andy H and taking up the reigns at the end of the night is DJ@War followed by Urban Knights.
The Big Top will play host to some sterling local talent including; festival favourites The Kabeedies with their unique blend of afrobeat meets rock n roll; East Anglian Nu-Folk act Crumbs for Comfort, the Britpop tunes of Hemingway and classic track and party tunes of Empire.
The Full Colour Arcade will be showcasing a whole host of fantastic acts including: Perfection, Bassics, Bogart, The Wizard Sleeve Collective, Kashta, Dr Poindexter. Whilst The Rebel Lion Tent will be pumping out a selection the best reggae and dub around, including some fantastic local acts; Free King Sound, Freedom Sound, Roots Odessey and many more and finally over on the TI PI Stage early bird festival goers can sample some top notch tuneage from an array of local DJs.
