Public Image Limited (PiL) are confirmed as the HEADLINE band for Saturday night in the Empress Ballroom. After fronting the Sex PistolsJohn Lydon formed post-punk originators Public Image Ltd in 1978. “PiL” continued until 1992 with an ever-changing line-up and unique sound which saw them fuse Rock, Pop, Dance, Folk, Ballet and Dub. Widely regarded as one of the most innovative bands of all time their music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20 Singles and 5 UK Top 20 Albums. Lydon will be joined by former PiL members Lu Edmonds (guitar), Bruce Smith (drums) along with 2009 recruit Scott Firth (bass).

A packed Empress Ballroom will be the perfect venue to see Public Image play this year and there will be a warm welcome from the Rebellion family for Lydon, the man who managed to create the punk movement and post punk movement in an astonishing few years of creativity and originality and remains one of the most intoxicating characters and musically awake musicians out there.
