Arriving at Hyde Park we were welcomed with the beautiful sound of Laura Doggett playing on the Summer Stage, the uniqueness of her voice has the surrounding crowd encapsulated, and dancing along with each song.

John Newman, who has been working in L.A. on a new album, worked the Great Oak Stage, getting the crowd going whilst the sun shone over the 65,000 people in Hyde Park. His final track was the latest single ‘Love Me Again’ a great way to end a memorable performance.

There is something that can be said for punctuality, and Ellie Goulding did not disappoint. She started her set bang on time, and really got the crowd excited. Kicking off with ‘Outside’, a song Ellie featured in alongside Calvin Harris. Ellie performed beautifully and pleased the crowd by playing the drums and guitar on ‘Animal’ and ‘Burn’. She ended her set with ‘Love Me Like You Do’ which had the whole of Hyde Park singing a long. A wonderful performance, which definitely prepared the crowd for the main attraction.

Throughout the set Swift spoke to the crowd about writing her album, dealing with relationships, and deeper messages about learning to love yourself and walking through the storms of life, a wonderful message to her fans, known as ‘Swifties’. Taylor continued to please the crowds with tracks from her previous albums, including her first UK number 1 ‘Love Story’. She wowed the crowd when the centre of the stage rose above them and spinning around over the heads of her on looking fans. Her next number ‘Style’ also featured some other famous faces… Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Serena Williams and Cara Delevigne to name a few, they walked the ‘catwalk’ stage to the huge roar of the crowd. Taylor spoke about her friends and how important friendship was to her. More outfit changes occurred, from a pink skirt and crop top set with LED lights, to a gold sequin jumpsuit. As the sun was setting over Hyde Park, she finished her set with her Number 1 single ‘Shake It Off’ which had everyone singing along.
