CAMPING

As for previous years, camping is included in the weekend ticket price.
Ticket-holders are welcome to arive from 12 noon on Friday 24 August and camp until the afternoon of Monday 27 August.

If you wish to arrive on the Thursday 23 August, there is a charge for the night of £10 per adult and £5 for youth or child.

MUSIC

This year we expand a little. There are three scheduled stages: Long Barn, High Barn and Fire Stage.

Fire Stage? Oh yes. This is a small outdoor acoustic stage with a natural grassy amphitheatre which will be fabulous especially if when it's sunny.

Open Mic? Yes indeed. That is once again in the Duck Shed. Cosy and compact just like in 2011.

LINE-UP

The most recent addition is RORY McLEOD and his band The Familiar Strangers late on Saturday afternoon. Check the band out for yourself here on youtube:

Clarinet, double bass, Colombian harp and whatever Rory happens to be playing himself.

Planning is going well. They are all very excited about the festival. The farm looks good. The line-up fabulous.

PURBECK FOLK FESTIVAL  is located on a little sheep farm and in its fourth year, it's "how festivals used to be" - friendly, great for kids and adults alike, and small enough to be able to wander around and not lose your friends. Purbeck Folk Festival covers the broader definition of folk music and you can hear music from all around the world; some deep and meaningful, some get up and jump around. Dates for 2012 are 24-26 August (bank holiday weekend).
