This August Bank Holiday Sunday secretsundaze presents one hell of a party: secretsundaze Go Bang! is anall-day, all-night mini-festival, going bigger than ever before on Sunday August 26th at exciting new outdoor London Pleasure Gardens!
secretsundaze is taking daytime partying on to the next level with Go Bang! Hosting the party at exciting new outdoor venue London Pleasure Gardens means that they can bring the magic of partying all day and all night to a larger audience, and they’re hoping this event will become their signature! Co-founder James Priestley says, “After 10 glorious years of leading the way in London’s day time party scene, it was only a matter of time until it felt right to take things up a notch – and here we are presenting a mini-festival.
“Since the days of the Canvas Roof Terrace parties, we've been searching for suitable larger-scale venues here in London,but were unable to find anything we were really into, without compromising our standards. The London Pleasure Gardens represents everything that we look for in a secretsundaze venue: a unique outdoor space, an incredible urban backdrop,few residential neighbours, a suitable license and a savvy team of people behind the project who know, understand and appreciate the ingredients behind what goes into creating a great outdoor party. Plus we’re right by the water at Royal London Docks, which is just the icing on the cake, not to mention the planes flying overhead, in and out of London City Airport which is bound to gather comparisons to DC10. We can’t wait!”
secretsundaze was founded and launched in 2002 by a bunch of old school friends, with partners, resident DJs and co creative directors, James Priestley and Giles Smith now at the helm. Since its humble beginnings, the brand has become synonymous with kicking some of the best parties London has seen, with an uncompromising and focused cutting-edge music policy, high standards in sound, production and venues and an equally devoted and hedonistic crowd.
This reputation has taken secretsundaze all over the world, from Berlin’s Panorama Bar, to an annual boat party on the Hudson River in New York City, and Warehouse 702 in Tokyo, as well as several forays into Ibiza. Plus secretsundaze is now a highly respected record label, releasing several compilation CDs as well as a recent string of vinyl 12"s, often working with emerging artists from its sister booking agency, The Secret Agency. And now, with secretsundaze Go Bang! the party goes ballistic with 17 hours of non-stop partying setting a new precedent in day-into-night clubbing.
Expect secretsundaze even bigger and better than ever before. While sticking to their roots and bringing some of the most exciting emerging and established acts in house and techno to the party, secretsundaze is spreading its wings andwill be presenting a stunning cross-genre lineup. “As the legendary Arthur Russell-produced track ‘Go Bang!’ goes, "I wanna see, all my friends at once”. Well, yeah!,” says Priestley. “We wanna do just that! But with Go Bang!, we broaden the scope of secretsundaze as it is currently known, making new friends along the way. So, musically, we’re reaching further than ever before for this larger-scale party and going through the night for a 17-hour long party, London style.”
