The organisers of Shakedown festival have been given official permission to run the event in Stanmer Park in 2012. At Brighton & Hove City Council’s Cabinet Meeting earlier in the week, Landlord’s Consent was granted for Shakedown to take place on Saturday 6th October 2012.

Shakedown now stands as the final festival in the UK calendar, and is pulling out all the stops to ensure 2012 is an even bigger and better event than 2011. Shakedown promoters are bringing two of the biggest festival tents in Europe to Stanmer Park, the same Kayam structures used by Radio 1 for their Big Weekend Events, ensuring Shakedown 2012 will be weather proof!

Organisers of the festival are looking to build on a hugely successful first year which saw almost 10,000 revellers enjoy the likes of Example, Ed Sheeran, 2 Many DJs, Zane Lowe and the cream of Brighton’s live music and DJ scene.

Festival organiser and Juice 107.2 presenter Jonesy said: “We’re over the moon that the council and local authorities have once again shown their support for Shakedown. We’ve got some exciting plans for 2012 and have already confirmed our headliner which we will be announcing early next year.”

A limited number of early bird tickets will go on sale at 2011 prices at 5pm before the main acts for Shakedown 2012 are announced in the New Year.
