80s Rewind 2011 will now take place on Friday 2nd September, due to popular demand we can now confirm that Tony Hadley will be headlining

the stellar line-up. Music fans are invited to the spectacular site to celebrate 80s music at its absolute best.

Tony Hadley will be joined by some of the biggest names from the decade including ABC, Go West, Dr and the Medics plus many more who will perform at North Yorkshire’s top music venue and stir the crowds into anostalgic frenzy. Tickets are on sale now 

Rewind at Scarborough Open Air Theatre will take place on Friday 2nd September for a definitive night of classic 80s acts at Europe’s largest open air theatre.

Sam Shrouder, Scarborough Open Air Theatre spokesperson comments, “Tony Hadley has proved to be a hugehit with music fans hoping to attend 80s Rewind 2011. We have been inundated with requests from the public who wish to see the legendary performer take to the stage.

After a little time and meticulous effort, we have pulled out all the stops and are thrilled to confirm he will now be performing for a night of pure 80s fever. What the public wants, the public gets and we’re very glad to be able to announce this exciting news.”

After last year’s monumental sell-out event, 80s Rewind returns to the famous Yorkshire venue for an evening encapsulating pure 80s fever. The promoters are delighted to confirm Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley will be performing chart topping favourites such as Gold and True sure to raise the crowds to their feet as the pinnacle performance of the night. ABC will showcase their impressive repertoire of classic hits from what has widely been regarded as one of the best produced albums of all time, The Lexicon of Love. Continuing to keep the crowds thoroughly entertained, pop-duo Go West will perform favourites from their back catalogue.

London based psychedelic rock band, Dr. And The Medics join the line-up and The Christians will also be performing their deep range of magical vocal harmonies. Joining the ranks, Liverpudlian pop/rock band China Crisis perform their post punk influenced tracks and Cutting Crew  take to the stage in a hard-hitting live performance of their British rocklassics, ensuring a special to Scarborough music season.

After a stunning refurbishment in 2010, a succession of stellar performances are herein planned to shake up the Yorkshire Moors with something a little special; the Scarborough Open Air Theatre is reborn.
